How Vola Finance Works: Step-by-Step Guide from Sign-Up to Repayment

Step 1: Create your account

Download the app on iOS or Android and sign up with your name, email, phone number and basic identity details. You'll need to be at least 18 and a legal U.S. resident.

Step 2: Link your checking account

The app uses Plaid to connect to more than 6,000 banks and credit unions. Choose the account that receives your income and pays your bills — the one with the most complete picture of your finances. The account should be at least three months old.

Step 3: Account review & VolaScore

Reviews activity on the account: how many days it's used, your average balance (around $150 is a common benchmark), recurring deposits and NSF history. This review, along with your VolaScore, determines your advance amount.

Step 4: Choose a membership & advance

Select a membership tier and the advance amount you need. Review the membership price, the advance amount and the repayment date before confirming. See fees & membership.

Step 5: Receive your money

Choose instant or standard delivery. Instant transfers can land in minutes at supported banks; standard transfers usually arrive within hours.

Step 6: Repay — or extend

On your due date the advance is collected automatically. You can repay early, pay in parts or request an extension. Learn more on repayment & extensions.

Step 7: Grow your limit

Each on-time cycle strengthens your history. After the cooling-off period (about five days), you can request your next advance — potentially at a higher amount.
