Popular financial apps attract impersonators. Scammers use the Vola Finance name to steal login codes, bank credentials or "processing fees." Here's how to recognize and avoid them.
Red flags
- Anyone asking for your login code, password or bank PIN
- A required upfront "approval," "insurance" or "processing" fee
- Payment requested by gift card, crypto or wire transfer
- Apps outside the official App Store or Google Play
- Texts with shortened links claiming your account is "locked"
- Pressure to act within minutes
How to verify
- Open the official app directly — don't use links in messages.
- Check the developer name on the app store listing.
- Contact support only through the in-app option.
If you've been targeted
- Change your passwords and enable two-factor authentication.
- Call your bank to freeze or monitor your account.
- Revoke suspicious bank connections via Plaid's portal.
- Report to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
RememberVolaFinanceApp.com is an independent site and will never call or text you asking for account credentials or payment.
